State Teacher Mentoring Program

*34 years as a Science Teacher 33 of which were all in the Kenai District -----10 in Seldovia and 23 at Homer Middle School): 

*2 years served in American Peace Corps in rural India working in the Green Revolution Agricultural Program

*10 years working as an Alaskan Statewide Mentor

*numerous State of Alaska teaching awards and runner up for Alaska Teacher of the Year in 2006

*grew up on a wheat ranch in SE Washington state, Bachelor of Science graduate of University of Puget Sound and Masters in Marine Biology at University of Oregon,  Certified Project Adventure Instructor
