Part B - Preventing Cognitive Decline - A Question and Answer Session
Apr. 12, 2018 12:00 p.m.
For those who were able to come to the Rotary meeting today, you can fast forward to about 30 minutes into the video. For those who weren't able to come, I would strongly recommend watching this video. The first (about) 10 minutes are a little dry as Dr. Downey sets up and explains what is going to happen in the video. Then it gets really interesting. The entire video is about 57 minutes
At next week's meeting, Dr. Downey will try to answer any questions you may have concerning Prevention of Cognitive Decline. Further topics will include; pre-diabetes, metabolic syndrome, and type 2 diabetes, which are components of cognitive decline. Fortunately, the great advances in preventing and reversing cognitive decline/Alzheimer's which has now been documented with subsequent protocols being developed and applied by Functional Medicine Physicians. So the phrase that we all know, "cancer survivors, but no Alzheimer's survivors", is no longer correct! The video was Part A of the two part program. It can be found by searching on YouTube or Googling Dr. Downey Preventing Cognitive Decline, or by going to this URL in your web browser < https://youtu.be/sDLm9-Speig >.
You are invited to bring guest(s) to this meeting, but it is strongly recommended that you watch the video first, so that you will have an idea of what Dr. Downey is talking about, AND have your questions ready! If your guest(s) plan to eat, please let Beth know so that the chef can prepare enough for everyone.
See you there!! |
